Landforce is looking to fill the newly created role of Director of Wood Reuse. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to build an urban woody biomass campus in conjunction with our workforce development program. The person in this position will have the unique opportunity to use their wood reuse skills and knowledge both for environmental benefit and to support people using this training opportunity to create a better future for themselves and their families.


Landforce is currently hiring a Work Readiness Manager. We are seeking an energetic, collaborative, people-person that brings deep knowledge of community resources and counseling/casework practices with high-risk populations, including mental health treatment and the impact of trauma. Landforce is currently hiring a part-time administrator (20 hours/week) who is detail-oriented, organized, and able to help others meet deadlines in a timely manner to support our Director of Operations with regular administrative and office-related tasks.

SITE SUPERVISOR (two positions)

Landforce is currently hiring two Site Supervisors. We are seeking empathetic leaders who are energetic, engaging, and knowledgeable in the best practices environmental stewardship. The person in this position must be able to not only model professional-level skills, but also be able to form a trusted supervisory relationship with our crew members who come from a broad diversity of experiences.

SEASONAL SHEPHERD (two positions)

Allegheny GoatScape is seeking two awesome people to fill part-time seasonal shepherd positions this year, beginning as early as the end of April, and concluding this fall. Applicants must enjoy spending outdoors in all manner of Pittsburgh weather, be able to perform consistent manual labor, and feel comfortable working alongside large animals on a small (human) team while supporting the improvement of the local landscape. Access to a personal vehicle is required.


Allegheny County Conservation District is hiring a Municipal Engagement Manager. This position will be tasked with municipal outreach and engagement to identify barriers to and find opportunities to increase tree canopy and green spaces. Outreach goals include forming authentic relationships with staff at all levels of local government, including elected officials, municipal managers, and public works staff.


Allegheny Land Trust is hiring a full-time Vice President of Development & Marketing! This position is responsible for the strategic development and tactical execution of Allegheny Land Trust’s comprehensive marketing, communications, and development efforts. As a member of the organization’s senior leadership team, the professional in this position must be capable of actively contributing to senior-level organizational planning and decision making and ensuring the development and effective implementation of marketing and development plans that are fully aligned with and capable of advancing the organization’s mission.
